What We're Growing this Spring

We're over half-way to the spring equinox and fresh flowers are right around the corner! Here are some the varieties our farms are growing this spring:

Tulips

These will be the first flowers to bloom and, while we all know the classic single varieties, there's a lot more to tulips than the grocery-store staples. From variegated petals to double varieties that look almost like peonies, these tulips are sure to be a beautiful addition to any spring arrangement.

Narcissus

Our growers have a wide range of colors, sizes and shapes planned for these spring classics. With a vase life of a week or more, narcissus are beautiful both on their own or as part of an arrangement. And you can't beat their beautiful scent!

Ranunculus

The belle of the spring ball! Ranunculus are not only stunning with their layers-upon-layers of petals, but they also have an incredible vase life of over 10 days. Their lusciousness makes them an easy choice as a focal flower in spring bouquets or wedding work, but they are also a great way to bring extra color into simpler design work.

Poppies

With their large crepe-paper-like petals, poppies are a spring focal flower that's sure to grab attention. They are an easy way to brighten up a bouquet, or add a touch of whimsy to a table arrangement with their long and windy stems.

Foliage and Woodies

The backbone of any good arrangement is the foliage! Bells of Ireland, lilac, cress, baptisia, and ninebark are some of the tried and true varieties that are growers have planned for this year.
